A California man has been arrested after video surfaced of him allegedly kidnapping his estranged girlfriend and dragging her down the street by her hair.

The footage, which was recorded on a neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera, was taken just before midnight Monday in the town of Arcadia. In the video, the frantic woman pounds on the neighbor’s door begging for help when a man appears and drags her by the hair. The woman screams for her life.

The man delivered a chilling warning: "Shut up or I’ll kill you.”

The homeowner sent the disturbing footage to cops Monday afternoon, after seeing the video upon their return from vacation. Cops searched the neighborhood, saying they found the woman being held captive in a home just around the corner.

Police identified the alleged kidnapper as Robert Mendez, 27, and said he is the victim's estranged boyfriend. He was charged with suspicion of attempted murder and kidnapping.

The case remains under investigation.
