Did Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth secretly tie the knot this weekend?
Photos and videos posted on social media appear to show that the on-again, off-again couple, who memorably ended their engagement in 2013 before officially reuniting in 2016, seem to have gotten married Sunday.
The images and footage, posted by friend Conrad Carr, show Cyrus, 26, in a white dress, as well as balloons spelling out the words "Mr." and "Mrs." Cyrus and Hemsworth, 28, can also be seen appearing to cut a large cake.
The pair's family was also on hand, including Hemsworth's brothers, Chris and Luke, as well as Cyrus' mother, Tish.
Representatives for the couple have not commented.
Cyrus and Hemsworth first met in 2009 on the set of the Nicholas Sparks film "The Last Song." They dated for years before Hemsworth popped the question in 2012. But they split a year later amid never-confirmed rumors of infidelity.
The breakup was necessary, though, Cyrus later said, adding that she valued the time apart from Hemsworth to grow as her own person. In the process, she dated Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick, for about six months.
"I needed to change so much," she told Billboard last year of her time apart from Hemsworth. "And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard. Suddenly you’re like, 'I don’t recognize you anymore.' We had to refall for each other."
Speculation that the two were back together first emerged in 2015 when they adopted a dog late that year and by early 2016, the two were seen visiting Hemsworth's family in Australia.
Cyrus essentially confirmed the engagement was back on in late 2016, speaking to TV host Ellen DeGeneres about why she sometimes doesn't wear her ring.
“It’s very weird because this is, like, real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of like gummy bears and cotton candy and they don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up," Cyrus said. "So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune.
"And he’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, this isn’t my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it ‘cause you love me.’”
