Firefighters Rescued Scared Deer Stuck on Frozen Pond
He was in good health.
Firefighters in Oregon rescued a struggling deer off a frozen pond earlier this week.
The deer wandered onto the pond at a local golf course in Sunriver, Oregon, and got stuck.
Firefighters said it is a pretty common occurrence in the area.
In a video captured of the moment, the scared deer can be seen slipping and sliding as he repeatedly tries to get up and walk.
“It was probably out there for a while,” Trevor Zanella, a reserve firefighter, told InsideEdition.com.
Firefighter JJ Johnston used a sled, usually used for water rescues, to nudge the deer back to shore.
Thankfully, the animal was in good health.
