A Florida man called 911 after finding an iguana in his toilet.
Authorities say Jose Macia had returned home for lunch Thursday when he made the shocking discovery.
At first, he called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, but officials reportedly told him they didn’t handle those kinds of calls, the Miami Herald reported. So he made an emergency call.
“We are the end-all-be-all,” Gollan said when it comes to “unique” calls, Battalion Chief Stephan Gollan told the Herald.
The Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said one of its firefighters put on gloves and fished the iguana out of the toilet before releasing it back into the wild.
