Georgia Teen Shot Dead After Friend Mistook Him for a Deer While Hunting

Bobby Lane, 17, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A Georgia man who was out hunting with friends accidentally killed one of his pals when he mistook him for a deer, police said.
The group was hunting in Glynn County Saturday when Hector Romero, 32, shot his friend, Bobby Lane.
Lane, 17, was blocked by thick trees when he was shot, the Glynnfoliage Police Department said. He was rushed to a nearby convenience store where paramedics met the group. But he was later pronounced dead the hospital.
Police said he was killed by a rifle, although it’s currently bow season in Georgia.
Police are still investigating the shooting, but no charges have been filed.
