Lee Beck and his daughter, Amelie, celebrated their birthdays this year by completing 39 random acts of kindness all over Oxford, England. And why the number 39? Amelie recently turned seven, and Lee turned 32.
“For our birthdays this year, we decided to do 39 random acts of kindness,” Lee said.
They donated to food banks, made bird feeders, and, for number 28, Lee did something nice for his daughter. “I thought because you've been super kind, we'd do something nice for you,” he told his daughter, who was overjoyed when her dad gifted her with a book.
Lee, who works at Oxford Brookes University, said his daughter regularly talks about kindness and came up with many of the things that they did. Amelie and Lee explained to told INSIDE EDITION why they did such heartwarming kind things for others
“We hope this has inspired you to do something kind for somebody else,” said Lee. “Amélie regularly remarks about kindness, and is very loving, so I knew she would be keen to do this challenge,” he said.
“When I mentioned the idea to her she thought it was a great idea, and instantly starting talking about some of the people we could help. Her ideas were fantastic, and she put a lot of thought into those that she felt happiest about,” he said.
We love how touching the video is and hope it inspires others to do something kind for someone else.
