Shelter Dog is Named Ginger Rogers After Staff See Her Dancing On Her Hind Legs

A dog danced up a storm inside her cage at an animal shelter in Orlando, Florida.

“Our volunteer Crystal Kincaid noticed her dancing and recorded video of it,” explained Orange County Animal Services program manager, Diane Summers.

Dog Poops on Plane, Forces Emergency Landing

Workers appropriately named her Ginger Rogers. “She will dance for anyone,” Summers told INSIDE EDITION.

The stray, a possible Border Terrier mix, was found with heartworm disease not far from the shelter. She didn’t have tags or a microchip but did have a harness, which leads staff to believe she had an owner.

They believe Ginger Rogers used to dance for treats which is why she is always up on her hind legs.

Within 24 hours of the shelter posting the adorable video of Ginger Rogers dancing on Facebook, someone wanted to adopt her.

“If no one comes to claim her, she will go home with the new owner,” said Summers.

Dog Steals Weatherman's Forecast

Summers told INSIDE EDITION the adopter already has another female Border Terrier at home, so unfortunately Ginger Rogers won’t have Fred Astaire to waltz with.
