Shocking Video Ignites Scandal for U.S. Navy

The U.S. Navy is rocked by scandal as video surfaces of the USS Enterprise's commanding officer and personnel performing in a raunchy video full of homophobic slurs. INSIDE EDITION reports on the latest details.

"This evening we are going to go through some racy topics."

That's the captain of the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, introducing the raunchy video that could cost him his job.

The profanity-laced video features vulgar bathroom humor, homophobic slurs, and a clip called, "Chicks in the Shower."

"This evening we have some different chicks in the shower, in a clip that was previously too sensitive to show," says Captain Honors on the video tape.

The clip appears to show two female sailors showering together.

The video was broadcast to the entire 6,000 person crew of the Enterrpise when Captain Honors was the second in command in 2006 and 2007.

INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd spoke to Carey Lohrenz, a former F-14 fighter pilot who served on carriers.

Boyd asked, "There is a lot of support for this now commanding officer. But there are also a lot of people who say this raises serious questions about his judgement. Can you see that side as well?"

Lohrenz said, "This is the executive officer of a boat. There are some things in these videos where I go, 'I don't know if you can do that as an executive officer. Maybe when you're a junior officer you could get away with it. But you are in a leadership position. You are the face of the navy.' "

Many other navy personnel are rallying to Captain Honor's defense. A Facebook page has hundreds of messages wishing him well.

The navy has a tradition of rough horseplay, sometimes too rough. Like a controversial hazing ritual for sailors crossing the equator for the first time.

A navy spokesman said the Enterprise video is, "clearly inappropriate and unacceptable in today's navy."

The navy also says it put a stop to these sorts of videos on the Enterprise several years ago.
