660 Pound Woman Prisoner In Her Own Home

TLC's new series, My 600-lb Life follows a morbidly obese woman through her everyday struggles. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

Amber is just 24, but she weighs a mind blowing 660 pounds.

She's so obese she has become a prisoner in her own home outside Portland, Oregon.

She said, “Everything hurts. My back hurts, my shins hurt. I'm so limited in what I can do and where I can go. I feel trapped.”

Because of her size, she's unable take a shower. Instead, as seen in a TLC series, she washes her hair using a cup of water and cleans her body using a scrub brush.

“I feel like a nasty, yucky monster and I don't like it. I don't like being this person. I don't like being this size,” she remarked.

It's a struggle to climb up the stairs and Amber doesn't have the strength to walk back down, saying, “My legs are too weak, I can't make it.”

When she tries, she slips and a flow of tears come next.

Amber's journey is documented in My 600-lb Life premiering January 7th on TLC.

Because of her weight, Amber had to drop out of a university. She recently had gastric bypass surgery.
