Was Ivanka Trump out of place during the G-20?

THIS VIDEO: The reaction from @Lagarde when @IvankaTrump tries to interject herself into a sideline conversation with world leaders (including @EmmanuelMacron, @JustinTrudeau & @theresa_may) is quite something. pic.twitter.com/4jPqDxuR1rJune 30, 2019
The moment generated the hashtag #UnwantedIvanka, prompting social media users to Photoshop the first daughter into famous moments from history and pop culture, including the moon landing, Abbey Road and the Mona Lisa.
New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took aim at President Trump for bringing his daughter along instead of a "qualified" envoy.
"It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification," she wrote on Twitter. "It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either."
But former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders defended Ivanka, writing: "Phoning it in @AOC is wasting your time on Twitter while destroying jobs in NY. @realDonaldTrump & @IvankaTrump actually created millions of new jobs and continue to make the US stronger on the global stage but thank you for reminding Americans everyday why they elected Trump."
It wasn't the trip's only notable moment.
Newly minted White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham was bruised in what's being described by some as a "brawl" with North Korean security guards during a visit to the hermit kingdom.
Grisham stepped between the guards and U.S. reporters as the guards tried to rein in the eager journalists and block them from entering the room where Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un were to meet.
Grisham pushed into the fray to make sure the press pool was able to make it in.
