Jayme Closs Search: Has 13-Year-Old Who Vanished After Parents' Murder Been Spotted in Florida?

Footage from a Florida gas station shows a figure fitting Jayme's description traveling with two well-dressed, bearded adult males, authorities said.

Missing teen Jayme Closs may have been spotted in Florida, authorities said.

The 13-year-old Wisconsin girl vanished from her rural Wisconsin home, where her parents were found dead in the wee hours of Monday morning. An Amber Alert has been issued for the child, who is described as 5 feet tall with green eyes and strawberry-blond hair.

A girl fitting Jayme Closs' description was seen Monday afternoon in Florida at a Miami gas station, accompanied by two well-dressed men in a black Ford Explorer with Wisconsin license plates, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said at a Tuesday press conference.

Investigators were reviewing surveillance footage from the service station, as well as tape of a mysterious 911 call made from the family's home, Fitzgerald said.

The call came in shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, but no one spoke to the dispatcher. "There was some kind of disturbance going on in the background, and that’s why officers went to the house," Fitzgerald said.

Authorities have been searching for Jayme Closs since the discovery of the bodies of James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46.

Gunshots were heard inside the Closs home but investigators have not said how the couple died. Their daughter is not considered a suspect, and is thought to be in danger, authorities said.
