John Travolta Remembers Late Son on What Would Have Been His 27th Birthday

Jett Travolta was just 16 when he died in 2009 during a family vacation in the Bahamas.
Ten years after the death of his son, John Travolta is still showing Jett love.
John shared a special post on Instagram Saturday of a painting he said a fan made of his late son. "A painting a fan made of my son Jett! Happy birthday my son I love you!" he wrote.
John and wife Kelly Preston welcomed Jett into the world on April 13, 1992. Jett was just 16 when he died in 2009 during a family vacation in the Bahamas, after what his death certificate said was a seizure. John had said that his son had autism and suffered from seizures.
“It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened in my life. The truth is, I didn’t know if I was going to make it," John said, according to Us Weekly.
In an interview with the magazine, John said his family and the church of Scientology helped him deal with the loss.
Preston honored Jett on his birthday as well. She shared a few photos of him and the family with the caption, "Happy Birthday Jetty, my sweet love."
