Mono County Sheriff's Office

Authorities in California are bringing in additional resources in the frantic search for a teen who vanished over the weekend.

Karlie Lain Guse, 16, was last seen walking toward Highway 6 in Chalfant early Saturday morning, according to the Mono County Sheriff’s Office.

Guse, who does not have her cellphone with her, may be disoriented, authorities said. They did not elaborate.

The sheriff’s office said Monday morning that after thoroughly searching the area around her home and speaking with friends in nearby Bishop, they are enlisting the help of scent dogs, helicopters and ground resources to aid in the search.

Guse is described as a white female with dark blonde hair and blue eyes who stands at 5-foot-7 and weighs about 110 pounds.

Anyone with information about Guse’s whereabouts is urged to call the Mono County Sheriff’s Office at 760-932-7549.
