Kevin Hart in 'Excruciating Pain,' Starting Physical Therapy After Breaking Spine in Crash: Reports

The driver of Kevin Hart's car reportedly lost control and veered off the road, crashing through a wooden fence and coming to a stop in a ditch.
Kevin Hart is on the mend following a car crash a week ago, but he's reportedly in a lot of pain and is beginning physical therapy after breaking his spine.
The comedian broke his spine in three places, leaving him in "excruciating pain," the New York Daily News reported.
Hart is able to walk and move his extremities, The Blast had reported. And after having surgery for his injuries, Hart is beginning physical therapy, according to TMZ.
Police said 40-year-old Hart was a passenger in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and his friend, Jared Black, was driving on Mulholland Highway, according to multiple reports. The driver reportedly lost control and veered off the road, crashing through a wooden fence and coming to a stop in a ditch.
The driver and another passenger in the car became trapped inside the vehicle, police said.
Photos of the scene obtained by TMZ showed Hart's blue car mangled on the side of the road. The roof was crushed from the crash. Police told the tabloid the driver had not been drinking.
Hart's wife, Eniko Hart, said her husband is "going to be just fine," in a video published by TMZ.
Friend Tiffany Haddish shared the sentiment, telling Entertainment Tonight on Friday, "He's OK. He’s doing fine."
