'Layaway Angels' Working Overtime to Ease Financial Pressures This Holiday Season
Charlie, Anthony and Martino are responsible for holiday joy for several families.
Three guys known as the “Layaway Angels” are bringing joy and holiday cheer to many families this holiday season.
Charlie, Anthony, and Martino, are trying to ease the financial pressures so many of us feel during Christmas by paying off the layaway balance for hundreds of complete strangers.
It's happening at toy stores up and down the East Coast. One of the totals the Layaway Angels paid off came to $10,000.
"I knew that if I could help just one person at that time I knew it would be worthwhile,” Charlie said.
Christmas came early for little Isabella, who got to take home a special Tinkerbell doll, thanks to her Layaway Angel.
One Toys"R"Us employee was moved to tears after seeing their good deeds.
"This is what it's all about,” the employee said.
All three Layaway Angels hope to inspire others to get in on the holiday magic.
"Next time you see a stranger or next time you can help somebody, just do it and pay it forward, it's amazing,” Charlie said.
The Layaway Angels are putting on a free show at the Theater at Madison Square Garden this month for families in need of some holiday cheer. For more information and how to obtain tickets, click here.
