Luke Bryan's Mother Returns to Home Severely Damaged by Hurricane Michael
LeClaire Bryan returned to her home to collect belongings and survey the damage.
Luke Bryan's mother returned to her Florida home for the first time since it was severely damaged by Hurricane Michael.
Heartbreaking photos show LeClaire Bryan recovering items from her debris-strewn condo on Mexico Beach.
Among the belongings damaged by the historic storm was a framed copy of sheet music from her son's first No. 1 hit, ironically titled "Rain is a Good Thing."
Overcome by emotion, she leaned on the back of a truck as a friend comforted her.
Luke Bryan has not spoken out about the damage to his mother's home, but asked for prayers as the deadly Category 4 hurricane approached earlier this month.
"Hey everyone," he wrote on Twitter. "Pray for my people. So many dear people I know are being affected. My mother and so many friends live in Mexico beach."
LeClaire, a feisty 71-year-old who shares her love of fishing and gardening on Instagram, surprised her son on "American Idol" just in time for Mother's Day last May.
"Very proud of you!" she told Bryan, a judge on the show.
Luke Bryan is the highest paid country music artist, according to Forbes magazine.
