Man Locked In Beer Cooler for 6 Hours Helps Himself to Drinks Despite Court Order to Stay Sober: Cops

Jeremy Van Ert, 38, allegedly had 18 ounces of beer and several cans of Four Loko.
A Wisconsin man who was under court order not to drink alcohol found himself locked inside a beer cooler after hours.
So what did Jeremy Van Ert do? According to police, he drank.
Marshfield cops say the 38-year-old was on probation when he entered a Kwik Trip convenience store and somehow managed to get trapped in the cooler when it locked automatically at midnight.
Instead of trying to get out, cops say Van Ert stuck around and helped himself to an 18-ounce beer and three cans of Four Loko.
He's also accused of knocking over three 30-packs of beer and damaging them when he fell over.
Police said Van Ert was let out around 6 a.m. when another customer noticed him inside the cooler.
Van Ert is accused of then leaving the store without paying.
He was later arrested for operating a vehicle with a revoked license, operating while intoxicated and failing to install an interlock device.
