How Cars May Be Prevented From Crashing Into 7-Eleven Storefronts

Terry Sizemore was paying for gas inside a California 7-Eleven convenience store when suddenly an SUV smashed through and mowed her down. Now, Sizemore says she's lucky to be alive. Experts from the Storefront Safety Council say a simple concrete post called a bollard could keep cars from crashing into storefronts and injuring customers. In a statement, 7-Eleven says safety is a top priority. They say while there are no nationwide bollard regulations,they have implemented an ongoing storefront safety initiative that will retrofit thousands of their stores with perimeter safety bollards.
