Woman Offers Ride To Cop Chasing Shoplifting Suspect

A police officer in pursuit of a shoplifting suspect was out of luck after the accused thief jumped into a getaway car. A woman driving by saw what was happening and asked if he wanted to get in her car. The cop and his civilian crime-fighting partner went after the car. The cop arrested the shoplifting suspect and the accused getaway driver. Inside Edition spoke to mother-of-three Lesli Smith and Sergeant Jeffrey Kahrs after she was honored by police at a ceremony in Slidell, Louisiana.
