Could Artificial Intelligence Write Good Music?

The next generation of musicians may turn to artificial intelligence to keep the world singing. Wisconsin station WDJT asked ChatGPT to write songs about Milwaukee. The AI program sent back several sets of music and lyrics. A rock group and a blues singer both took a turn playing one of ChatGPT’s songs. They agree that the AI-generated music could work for a commercial jingle, but it likely wouldn’t be the type of song that evokes emotions.
