K-9 Search Teams from California Help in Hawaii Wildfire Effort

Canine units from the Los Angeles County Fire Department are heading to Maui. They’ll be on the ground, using their training in search and rescue after the catastrophic wildfires. Prentiss, along with fellow K-9s Harper and Six have a daunting task ahead of them. Their keen senses will be used to find survivors or casualties. FEMA activated the California Task Force Team 2 – Urban Search and Rescue Canine on August 12, flying this LA-based team to Hawaii the next day.
