Meghan Markle Talks About George Floyd in Surprise California Graduation Speech

On June 3rd, 2020, Meghan Markle gave a remote surprise graduation speech to her old high school, Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles. “What is happening in our country and in our state and in our hometown of L.A., has been absolutely devastating,” Markle said. She cited victims of police violence, including George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Philando Castile, and she recalled the Rodney King riots she witnessed as a teen in Los Angeles.
