Queen Elizabeth II Has COVID-19, ‘Vows to Carry On Working’

An outpouring of support came today for Queen Elizabeth II, after it was announced that the 95-year-old monarch had tested positive for the coronavirus and is experiencing cold-like symptoms. The symptoms are said to be mild, but Vanderbilt University’s Dr. William Schaffner says anyone her age is vulnerable to COVID-19. He thinks it’s likely that she has received monoclonal antibodies or an antiviral medication “to help prevent the evolution of her infection to something more serious.”
