Russell Brand Charged with Rape and Sexual Assault

British entertainer Russell Brand was charged with rape and sexual assault, according to Metropolitan Police. The charges relate to several incidents involving four women, from 1999 to 2005. Those allegations were made public in 2023. Brand has denied the allegations, claiming that all the relationships were consensual. The Metropolitan Police report that the investigation into Brand remains open, and ask that anyone who has information on the case to come forward.
