Should Texans Be Allowed Vaccines if the State Is Easing COVID-19 Restrictions?

More than 50,000 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed yesterday, and Dr. Fauci says that despite the end of the pandemic being in sight, “now is not the time to pull back” from precautions. But as Mississippi, Texas and others begin fully reopening, there is a debate raging about whether Texans should be given the vaccine, given the state’s choice to step back from enforcing preventative measures. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was infuriated at the suggestion.
