Lawyer of Assailant In 'Slenderman' Stabbing Case Speaks

Authorities say Morgan Geyser, 23, cut off her ankle monitor and walked out of a group home on Saturday night. She was recaptured Sunday night at a truck stop in Illinois. Eleven years ago, Geyser and her adolescent friend stabbed classmate Payton Leutner 19 times, they said, to please the fictional horror character known as "Slenderman." Geyser was sent to a psychiatric hospital earlier this year before being placed in a group home. Geyser's lawyer, Tony Cotton, spoke with Inside Edition.
