    Did 'Sniper Tourists' Pay To Shoot Civilians During Siege Of Sarajevo?

    When Yugoslavia collapsed into civil war in the early 1990s, the city of Sarajevo was caught in the crossfire – literally. Bosnian Serb forces mounted repeated attacks on the population there, killing an estimated 11,000 civilians. Some of those civilians may have been killed by foreign nationals, from Italy and other European countries, who paid to be part of "sniper safaris." These "sniper tourists" are alleged to have joined Bosnian Serb forces in targeting people on the streets.
