The teen's parents went to police about three weeks, and authorities were investigating when the two disappeared.

The 15-year-old Louisiana teen who was believed to have run away with a much older man more than a week ago has reportedly been found safe in Colorado. The 47-year-old family friend she was traveling with has been taken into custody.

Domeanna Spell was last seen April 28 getting off her school bus at Port Barre High School. She then got into a car with Cory "Shane" Disotell, who her older sister said was a 47-year-old divorced father and family friend. Jerrie Cradeur told InsideEdition.com that "he was in love" with Domeanna and "wanted to marry her."

The Port Barre Police Department said it was informed of Domeanna's location Friday afternoon by the FBI, according to WAFB.

"The collaboration between law enforcement agencies was remarkable. The success of rescuing Miss Spell is a blessing," the FBI said in a statement.

Domeanna hadn't been seen by her family since she got into a car with Disotell. Her family recently learned that the two had a secret relationship, Cradeur said, and that Disotell even told Domeanna's parents he wanted to marry her. The two were ordered to stay away from each other, but they continued to see each other.

The teen's parents went to police about three weeks, and authorities were investigating when the two disappeared.

The girl's family learned months ago that she and Disotell had a secret relationship, Cradeur said. The man had hired Domeanna to babysit his granddaughter on weekends, she said. But the family learned he had no grandchildren.

Disotell gave the girl money to make it look like he was paying her to babysit, her sister said.

He told the girl's parents about six months ago he wanted to marry the teen, her sister said. "Everyone was pretty much hysterical," she said. The parents told him to never come back to their house and ordered their daughter to stay away from him, Cradeur said.

But they continued seeing each other, the sister said. About three weeks ago, the parents went to police after a neighbor's surveillance camera captured a man climbing over the Spell's back fence and going to Domeanna's bedroom window, Cradeur said.

The police were investigating when the two disappeared last week, Cradeur said.
