Model's Boyfriend Proposes as She Walks in Bridal Runway Show
She was shocked to see him at the other end of the catwalk with a ring.
A charming boyfriend seized the perfect moment to propose to his girlfriend — while she was walking down the runway in a wedding dress.
Nicole Kaspar, a model for bridal company Watters, was walking in their runway show for New York Bridal Fashion Week in April when her boyfriend, Chad Stapleton, got down on one knee.
As Kaspar, of Texas, walked down the runway and saw Stapleton waiting at the end of it, she said she was "in shock, but I knew immediately what was going to happen."
In video taken by Danny Erb and Matthias Johnson, the couple, who met in 2015, hold hands before Stapleton popped the question.
"I wanted the idea for the proposal to be related to what she loves," Stapleton said. "She loves two things more than anything and that is traveling and modeling."
Stapleton said he ended up meeting someone from Watters who helped him plan the big moment.
“I think the biggest surprise for me was seeing her reaction when she first noticed me," Stapleton said. "I have never seen that look on her face before and that is so special to me. I keep watching the video of the proposal over and over, just to see her reaction because it is priceless."
Stapleton has seen Kaspar in a wedding dress many times before so she’s definitely going to create something special for her own day, and of course it’ll be made by Watters.
"I wouldn't be caught dead in anything else," Kaspar said.
