Mom Gives Birth to Twins Nearly 3 Months Apart

Liliya Konovalova, 29, first gave birth to her daughter on May 24, and her son didn’t make his grand entrance until Aug. 9.
A mom in Kazakhstan miraculously gave birth to twins 11 weeks apart after one was born prematurely.
Liliya Konovalova, 29, first gave birth to her daughter on May 24, and her son didn’t make his grand entrance until Aug. 9. Doctors said the odds of this happening are just one in 50 million, according to the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan
Konovalova’s daughter, Liya, was born at only 25 weeks and weighed 1 pound, 13 ounces. More than two months later, baby boy Maxim arrived weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
The mom joked that her son was in “no rush,” the Mirror reported.
The mom reportedly has a double uterus, a condition known as uterus didelphys. So the twins she gave birth to developed individually.
“I was shocked when I found out that I had such a condition,” Konovalova told the Mirror. “I was so worried about the life of my premature baby.”
The births of the twins were reportedly the first of their kind in Kazakhstan.
