Naked Teen Leads Cops on Foot Chase After Allegedly Killing Baseball Player's Family
Matthew Bernard, 19, is accused of killing the wife, child and mother-in-law of minor league baseball pitcher Blake Bivens.
Insane footage shows cops scrambling to catch a naked teenager wanted for a triple homicide in Virginia.
The 19-year-old suspect allegedly killed his mother, sister and 15-month-old nephew, who were found shot dead at the family home in Keeling. The teen was chased across fields and country roads before he was finally cornered and overpowered Tuesday morning.
Left grieving is 24-year-old baseball player Blake Bivens, a pitcher for Tampa Bay Rays' minor league team, the Montgomery Biscuits. It was his wife, baby and mother-in-law who were killed.
Emily and Blake Bivens were high school sweethearts. Emily would often bring their son, Cullen, to baseball games to see his dad pitch.
In a statement, the baseball team said: "Our hearts are broken for Blake. We are grieving with him."
The suspect was identified as Matthew Bernard, a student at a local community college. He has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
