Frank Kaminsky, power forward for the Charlotte Hornets, is being hailed as a hero for his act of kindness Thursday night.
According to Bleacher Report, Kaminsky was doing what he usually does after practice-- play Fortnight while eating Cheez-Its. Then, the fire alarm went off in his high rise building, due to a bomb threat.
“I had to walk down 49 stories because they shut off the elevators. Instead of grabbing my keys and my wallet, I grabbed a box of Cheez-Its for the long journey down,” Kaminsky said.
Three flights down, he ran into a neighbor who was struggling to carry her baby, a dog and a few other items. Kaminsky offered to take the child.
Of the deed, Kaminsky said, “I’m just a good Samaritan, not a hero.”
That bomb threat was one of many called around the country Thursday. The building was found to be safe.
