Prince Louis Smiles Widely in Newly Released Christening Photos
The photos were taken after the July 9 ceremony.
Prince Louis was beaming on the day of his christening!
The 2-month-old can be seen flashing a huge smile in a newly released photo from his special day.
Four photos were released on Sunday by Kensington Palace of the special day. Another one, released on Monday morning, shows Prince Louis’ mom, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, cheerfully holding him as he shows excitement and smiles at something off camera.
“Their Royal Highnesses hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do,” the office of Prince William and Kate at Kensington Palace said in a statement on Monday.
The family, including newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, gathered for the private ceremony at the Chapel Royal at St. James’ Palace on July 9.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, presided over the christening as he did for Princess Charlotte and Prince George.
The family was later photographed in and outside of Clarence House by photographers Matt Holyoak and Matt Porteus.
"I was truly honored at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event," Holyoak said. "Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure. I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs."
