R. Kelly Is Free Again, After Someone Pays His Back Child Support

The singer owed $161,000 in back child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly.
R. Kelly is once again a free man, after someone reportedly paid his child support tab.
The singer owed $161,000 in back child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly. According to lllinois state law, failure to pay child support over $20,000 is a felony. The pair share a 20-year-old daughter and two teenage sons. The owed amount was paid in full.
The Cook County sheriff’s spokesperson told the AP she didn’t know who made the payment.
Kelly was arrested on Wednesday, the same day his interview with Gayle King aired on "CBS This Morning."
The explosive interview showed Kelly crying and yelling at the morning show host as he denied allegations of sexual abuse.
Kelly was jailed and released last month on sex crimes charges. A Chicago-area businesswoman posted his $100,000 bail.
Kelly has maintained his innocence, denying any wrongdoing.
