Schoolchildren Surprised With Free Winter Coats: 'A Gift of Warmth'
The children were given the early Christmas gift as part of an initiative called Operation Warm.
A school full of screaming kids got a special treat as they were surprised with new winter coats.
The young students were recently lined up in the hallway of a New York City school, not knowing that an early Christmas present awaited each one in the next room.
Inside the gym, volunteers were busy setting up a coat giveaway that's part of an initiative called Operation Warm.
"We believe that the gift of a coat is a gift of warmth, joy and self-confidence,” a spokeswoman told Inside Edition.
The kids were brought in and told they could pick any coat they wanted as a gift.
Folks from Twitter helped the little ones pick out the right size and they are clearly ready to welcome winter in style.
