Secret Santa Gifts $10K to Single Mom of 4 Children Who Lost Her Husband to Wasps

Her husband died suddenly after being stung by wasps earlier this year.

A single mother of four kids was surprised with a $10,000 check for Christmas.

Abby Toone lost her husband, 37-year-old Jon, in September after he was stung by three wasps.

Jon, who was in the U.S. Army Reserve, collapsed and died in his wife’s arms.

Now, their family is coping with the loss. The mom has been struggling to make ends meet as she awaits the settlement from her husband’s life insurance policy.

A Secret Santa had an East Idaho News reporter surprise Abby at her home with the money.

In a video captured of the moment, Toone broke down in tears as she realized the amount on the check.

“Thank you!” she said.
