Storm Chaser Records Heart-Stopping Video as Tornado Touches Down Right Above Him
Meteorologist and storm chaser Simon Brewer captured the incredible footage.
A tornado touched down in Colorado not far from a brave a storm chaser, who was able to capture breathtaking video of the phenomenon.
The twister, known as a "rope tornado," stayed on the ground for five minutes, meteorologist and storm chaser Simon Brewer, who captured the footage Tuesday, told Inside Edition.
"Being that close to a tornado is an amazing experience, especially that one," he said. "It was twisting and curling and eventually the funnel went directly over our heads.
"It was just amazing!" he added.
The tornado wasn't the only act of nature wreaking havoc. Golf ball-sized hail also rained down on the area, causing dangerous road conditions and severe damage to some vehicles.
