What happens when the winning numbers are ... nothing?
What happens when the winning lottery numbers are ... nothing?
Thousands of people in North Carolina know the feeling, since the winning numbers in the state's Pick 4 drawing on Saturday came up 0-0-0-0.
Lottery officials say 2,014 tickets matched all four numbers, which led to a record-breaking payout in North Carolina: $7.8 million in prizes, according to WSPA.
That breaks the state's previous record of $7.5 million, set in 2012. Those winning numbers were 1-1-1-1.
