It was a cookie that landed a pair of brothers a fortune.
Diego Caceres was eating lunch at a Maryland Chinese restaurant with his brother, Domingo, on Feb. 16.
The message inside Diego’s fortune cookie told him it was his lucky day.
Believing it, the brothers stopped at a nearby 7-Eleven store. Diego borrowed $10 from Domingo and bought a Power 8s scratch-off ticket. It won him $100,000, according to The Dayton Daily News.
Diego says he plans to share the winnings, as well as visit family and go to soccer games in South America and Europe.
