What Miley Cyrus Is Saying After Split From Liam Hemsworth

The singer shared photos from her vacation with Kaitlynn Carter, who she was photographed kissing.

As news of Miley Cyrus' split with husband Liam Hemsworth broke, the pop star posted vacation photos on Instagram, speaking out for the first time since the announcement of her breakup.

“Don't fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, change is inevitable," she wrote under photos of her in the mountains.

The last known video of Cyrus and Hemsworth was taken July 9 in Solvang, California. They seemed disconnected, as she looks down at her phone.

But after her separation was announced, the “Wrecking Ball” singer was on a girls' trip to Lake Como, Italy, where she noticeably was not wearing her wedding ring.

Cyrus was there with pal Kaitlynn Carter, who is going through a breakup herself. She split from Brody Jenner last week. Cyrus and Carter were photographed kissing and cuddling poolside.

Hemsworth broke his silence about the split when he was asked about it by Daily Mail Australia. “You don't understand what it's like. I don't want to talk about it," he said.

Cyrus got candid about her marriage and her sexuality in the August issue of Elle magazine.

“I think it's very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique. And I don't know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it's so complex, and modern, and new that I don't think we're in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner?” she said. “I'm in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f***ing good, and I know that.”
