Will Ferrell Hospitalized After SUV Flips in Highway Crash
The 'Anchorman' star was awake and talking as he was loaded into an ambulance.
Actor and comedian Will Ferrell has been hospitalized after he was involved in a serious crash on a California freeway.
The 50-year-old "Anchorman" star was riding in an SUV with two other passengers Thursday when the vehicle flipped in Orange County, TMZ reported.
Ferrell was seen in video from the scene talking on his cell phone as he was loaded into an ambulance. A rep for the comedian later said he suffered no serious injuries, and has since been released from the hospital.
Eyewitnesses reportedly said the crash occurred when the chauffeured SUV was sideswiped by another vehicle. No arrests were reported.
The driver and another man riding in the SUV suffered only minor injuries, while a female passenger suffered “major” injuries and was rushed to a trauma center.
The 27-year-old woman was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.
