Woman Surprised With Proposal as She Throws Out First Pitch at Baseball Game
The catcher turned out to be her fiance.
A woman throwing out the first pitch at a Miami Marlins game was left stunned as the catcher removed his mask to reveal he was her boyfriend, who had another surprise in store.
It all started when Marlyn Sanchez was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Miami Marlins baseball game Tuesday.
Her throw wasn’t the best and was chucked far out of the catcher's reach. The embarrassing toss was quickly forgotten as the catcher revealed himself.
It was her boyfriend, Rafael Cabrera, who does not actually play professional baseball.
He walked to the pitcher's mound where Sanchez was standing, pulled out a ring case that looked just like a baseball and got down on one knee, proposing to Sanchez.
“I was completely surprised," she told Inside Edition. "I didn't see him I didn't even see his face. It's the perfect Tiffany ring. It's beautiful."
The couple has not yet announced a wedding date.
