Her family said she'll be picking lottery numbers for them from now on.
A Maryland woman won tens of thousands on her first scratch-off ticket.
The 56-year-old woman went to a Gaithersburg store with her son-in-law and decided to buy a $2 million Fortune scratch-off ticket on a whim.
That ticket won her $50,000.
"She was really lucky," the woman's son-in-law told lottery officials. "She was happy and the guy at the liquor store was very happy she won."
From now on the family said she’ll pick the Mega Millions drawing numbers.
