Attack of the Giant Tarp! Baseball Players Come to Rescue of Groundskeeper Caught in Field Canvas
As the weather turned brutal during a baseball game, one groundskeeper was stuck in a tarp while trying to protect the field.
It was a scary moment for a groundskeeper in Pittsburgh as he was swallowed up by an out of control tarp.
The TV commentator calling the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game said: “One of the grounds man getting caught up in that tarp.”
The grounds crew was attempting to cover the infield at PNC Park after a storm rolled in during last night's Pirates game against the San Diego Padres but a mighty wind ripped the tarp from their hands burying the man.
Even the ballplayers came to the rescue and leapt into action to wrestle the tarp into submission.
Much of the country battled severe weather last night. In Abilene, Texas, they were fishing in the streets after a pond flooded turning the roads into rivers.
