Playing Sour Notes: Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale File For Divorce
Musicians Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage.
Rockers Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences.
Gwen, who recently appeared on The Voice, initiated the divorce, amid rumors Gavin was cheating on her, according to reports.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” the couple said in a statement.
According to TMZ, the couple did not sign a prenup before their 2002 marriage.
Gwen, 45, and Gavin, 49, have been married for almost 13 years and have three kids – Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and 17-month-old Apollo.
Gwen and Gavin met in 1995 when her band, No Doubt, was on tour in America with his band, Bush.
Both bands shot to fame at that time with their respective records Tragic Kingdom and Sixteen Stone.
In 2004, Gwen and Gavin hit a rough patch in their marriage when it was revealed he was the father of English model Daisy Lowe.
A paternity test confirmed that he was the father of the then 15-year-old after a previous relationship with model and designer Pearl Lowe.
