The lab coat bears a name-tag saying: "Dr. Walter Palmer."
"Accessorize with a drill, a toothbrush, or a toy crossbow," PETA adds on its website.
There was uproar when authorities said that Dr. Palmer, a dentist in Minnesota, illegally shot the lion during a hunt in Zimbabwe in July. Palmer says he relied on local guides and thought his actions were legal.
In announcing the costume, PETA said: "As animals continue to die in agony at the hands of trophy hunters, it's only fitting for people to make fun of Palmer for his illegal, violent pursuit."
