Donald Trump Makes Light of His Controversial Megyn Kelly 'Blood' Comments During Rally
Donald Trump held a rally in Dallas last night and may have restarted his feud with Megyn Kelly.
Donald Trump took his campaign to the Lone Star State and was welcomed by 15,000 supporters at Dallas’ American Airlines Center - and plenty of protesters, too.
Inside the arena, Trump couldn't resist making yet another reference to his feud with Fox News host Megyn Kelly, when he said: “There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her… wherever.”
On Monday, he told the crowd: "We’re going to have so many victories that at some point they are just going to be coming out of your ears!"
But referencing the Kelly spat, he added: “I have to be careful what I say about coming out of somebody’s ears. I have to be careful! Nose, ears, eyes, those are the only places I’m talking about. The only."
Outside the arena, protesters had to be held back by cops on horseback.
More than 1,000 people participated in a march and demonstration organized by the North Texas chapter of the League of United Latin American Citizens.
They marched from the Dallas Roman Catholic cathedral to the American Airlines Center, as some marchers carried signs criticizing Trump.
No arrests were made outside the rally.
Trump shared his appreciation on Twitter from supporters on Twitter:
Speech in Dallas went really well. Big and wonderful crowd. Just arrived in L.A. Big day tomorrow!September 15, 2015
A just-released New York Times / CBS News poll shows Trump's lead is narrowing. Trump is now favored by 27 percent of Republican voters but retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is close behind at 23 percent.
Meanwhile, after NBC announced Arnold Schwarzenegger will be Trump's replacement on Celebrity Apprentice, Trump congratulated The Terminator actor on his new role.
Congrats to my friend @Schwarzenegger who is doing next season’s Celebrity Apprentice. He'll be great & will raise lots of $ for charity.September 14, 2015
To all my fans, sorry I couldn’t do The Apprentice any longer—but equal time (presidential run) prohibits me from doing so. Love!September 14, 2015
Arnold himself posted his own catchphrase suggestions on his Facebook page that could replace Trump’s signature “Your Fired” line.
Conan O’Brien had a little fun on Monday nights show as he did impersonations as to what Arnold might use as a catch phrase.
