Jackman took to Instagram to tell the story of an encounter he had with a late fan’s sibling. The actor met Marie Lozano from the Philippines who said her brother, Jeffrey, passed away two years ago. Jeffrey had Down Syndrome and loved Wolverine.
Marie told the X-Men actor how her brother had painted a picture of Jackman’s most famous character - using just his mouth. When Jeffrey lost use of his hands, he painted by putting a paintbrush in his mouth, she explained.
The actor wrote: “I accept this gift in Jeffrey’s honor. May his spirit live on.”
The near thousand comments on Jackman’s page thanked him for his kindness.
“So sweet of you. Thank@thehughjackman for your kindness. Two thumbs up for a very nice person like you,” was one comment.
