Obama: If GOP Candidates Can't Handle CNBC Hosts, How Will They Deal With Russia?
President Obama took a swipe at GOP candidates during a Democratic fundraiser in New York.
President Barack Obama has taken a hard swipe at GOP candidates who complained that CNBC was too harsh in their questioning during last week’s debate.
At a fundraiser in Manhattan on Monday, the president said that the presidential hopefuls "occupy a different reality."
"Let me tell you, if you can’t handle those guys, then I don’t think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried," Obama said at the Richard Rodger’s Theater, home to the hit musical Hamilton.
He also brought up climate change and said that Democrats “try to base our analysis on facts and reason,” versus many Republicans, who he said denounce scientific reports.
“If you go to 100 doctors, and 99 of them tell you have diabetes, you wouldn’t say, ‘Ah, that’s a conspiracy. All 99 doctors got together with Obama to keep me from having bacon and donuts.’ You wouldn’t do that,” he joked.

The cast of Hamilton were elated to have the president speak at their home and posted photos of POTUS on Instagram.
