Rescued Dog Dons Sunglasses For Life-Changing Laser Treatment to Battle Mites
Maggie the rescued pup had excruciating sores across her entire body from mites when she was rescued, but after weeks of treatments, she is unrecognizable.
Maggie the rescued pup had excruciating sores across her entire body from mites when Texas Chihuahua Rescue brought her to the Vet Ranch Rescue.
In a video, Dr. Wendy from Vet Ranch explained that Maggie suffered from scabies, and needed medication and a special laser therapy to kill them and speed up the healing.

For the laser therapy, Maggie needed to wear a pair of shades to protect her eyes.
"She actually tolerates them really well," Dr. Wendy said while Maggie posed in her new specs. "She's a sweet girl. She looks so cool."
Following repeated laser treatments and care from Vet Ranch over several weeks, Maggie now looks unrecognizable.

She has grown black, white and tan hair across her body and was filmed rolling around in the grass and wagging her tail.
Maggie has a foster home lined up but is still looking for a forever home, Vet Ranch said.
